Christmas Fun

by Grace Miller

Christmas time is one of the most joyous and festive times of year. Almost every family has traditions, and celebrates in their own way. Here are a few ways you can celebrate the wonderful winter season.

One simple way of cheering up your household over the holiday season is getting a Christmas tree and decorating it. Going out with your family into the cold wintery night to pick the perfect tree, then coming home to decorate, and putting up decorations while listening to Christmas music. Sharing laughs and memories with your family. Then sitting in the warmth by the fire drinking hot cocoa and watching the sparkle of the lights turning on is just so special.

Another exciting activity is ice skating. It is a fun way of getting exercise and having a joyous time. It is amazing to go to an outdoor rink when it’s snowing (if it is snowing where you are.) Then you get to catch snowflakes on your tongue.

The third exciting event is Christmas caroling. It is a fun tradition to go from door to door cheering people up with the Christmas spirit. It’s a joyous way to enjoy the cool outdoors and singing to your neighbors and being with your friends and family.

A fun craft, and yummy treat, to do during the holidays is making gingerbread houses. It is such a great way to be creative and festive this season. Plus you can eat the candy while making it! It’s the perfect activity for anyone of any age to do.

The last great activity is watching Christmas movies on a cold day in the winter, snuggled up in a blanket with hot cocoa is one of the ways to get into the spirit. If you also watch a Christmas movie, it will make the experience even better.

Winter is a wonderful time of year, so have fun and enjoy these activities throughout the season. Happy Holidays!
