On Friday, February 26, SBJHS is having their very own Career Day! During the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th periods of the school day, volunteers from all over Santa Barbara will visit the school and speak to the students about their jobs.
In the past, marine biologists, civil engineers, veterinarians, and even emergency room nurses have come in for Career Day. Students get to explore and ask questions about all of the careers people come in with. Usually, the speaker’s career will be related to the class they come in and talk to. Career Day is an interesting way to appreciate and learn about all of the different people and their jobs around town. It is also a great way for kids to see what goes on in their community and it gives them an idea of what they might want to do as an adult.
Career Day will be extremely fun and educational for everyone involved, so get excited, because you definitely will not want to miss it!
