Today, March 15th, the Hoops for Hearts activity was Zumba. Anyone who wanted to dance just had to walk out to a place on the blacktop and follow along with the instructor. The Zumba “class” took place at lunch and was tons of fun to watch and participate in! For those who do not know Zumba, it is half exercise and half dance.
“The Zumba activity was an enjoyable experience that got everyone to move and groove and get their hearts pumping,” says Charlie Hess, a seventh grader who was out their dancing along with the other students and staff.
“It was so cool to see the people I know dancing alongside Mr Garcia out by the PE building!” Says Jocelyn Gallardo, who came out to watch. It was a fun experience and the second of this week’s Hoops for Hearts activities.
Make sure you come out tomorrow for the Hoops for Hearts hula hooping contest!
