Mother’s Day, May 8th, is a day filled with appreciation and affection towards our own mothers and the influential mothers in our societies. Mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers alike are celebrated on this day, although they should be celebrated everyday! They are so significant in the lives of most. Mothers care, nurture, support, guide, and encourage others. Most importantly, life wouldn’t exist on earth without them. Take this opportunity to treat the incredible mothers around you and your own.
I asked students in my Journalism class about what they do for Mother’s Day. Hailey Zheng said, “We go to Andersen’s Bakery and get pastries and bring them to my grandparent’s house for breakfast.”
“My family and I go on a picnic someplace my mom loves.” Isabella Macioce remarked.
Dine out, give gifts, plan a fun family day, or do something for your mother to show your her how much you love her this Mother’s Day.
