Desert Trip Festival

by Hana Ulep

The Desert Trip Festival is a music festival that will take place at Indio, California this fall and will feature some of the most well-known and successful classic rock artists and bands of all time. The musicians performing are The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters, and The Who. This festival will happen during two weekends: October 7th through 9th and October 14th through 16th.

Out of the six performers, there will be two artists performing each of the three nights. The first night, on Friday, will feature The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan. Saturday night will hold Paul McCartney and Neil Young, while Sunday night is Roger Waters and The Who. These artists are easily classified as legendary, and this event will definitely be like no other.

Although this festival will be an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience, there has been some hate because of how expensive the tickets are, even for just the general admission tickets (the closer seats cost a crazy amount of money). There are different packages and deals offered, but there’s no way around the fact that tickets are still very pricey, especially if you are attending with your family or friends. But, if the math is done and you take into account that six exceptionally famous musicians will be there, it is a good deal for such a spectacular festival.

I am extremely excited to be attending the first weekend of the Desert Trip Festival. It will be an amazingly fun experience like no other, and I can’t believe I will be seeing my favorite musicians in person, all in the span of just three days. I know this festival will be a success and something talked about in music history for a long time.
