Grey’s Anatomy is a tv drama about a group of surgical interns who start their career as surgeons. It takes place In Seattle, Washington at Grey’s Sloan Memorial Hospital. The show has 12 season and is now onto their 13th season. The show namesakes Meredith Grey, played by Ellen Pompeo, a surgical intern who’s mom was a “legend” as a surgeon. She connects with her fellow colleagues and basically becomes family with them. The chief, Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) had a personal relationship with Meredith’s mother when Meredith was young that she struggles with.
After a long, rough road of being interns, they are put to the test. They take a test and that determines if they become a resident. (Residency is a stage of graduate medical training). Once they are residences, they are have more control. They are able to participate more in surgery. After their residency, they become attendings. (An attending physician/attending surgeon is a doctor who has completed residency and practices medicine in a clinic or hospital). Once they are attendings, they have some more control and have more responsibility. When new interns come, they teach them. They sometimes even control surgerys.
Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital is known for their trauma center. They mainly take in people who have been in a really tragic incident that you didn’t think could happen. The craziest things can happen in this show. The main reason why I like it is because it’s so dramatic and you never know what can happen. It’s so suspenseful which is what I love about it
I 100% recommend this show. I know everyone will love it. It’s the right amount of everything.
