December is here and the season of pumpkins is over, making way for all things winter. People are pulling out scarves and sweaters for the cold weather, Starbucks has changed their cups from white to red, and Christmas trees are popping up everywhere.
This new season also means different seasonal events have been scheduled. This includes the two holiday parades. The State Street Holiday Parade is taking place on December 2nd, this Friday, starting at 6:30. This is a really fun event and there are always familiar faces marching down the street. Another holiday parade will also be taking place. The Milpas Holiday Parade will be on December 10th and starts at 5:30. There will be many children’s groups, old fashioned cars, and live performances.
SBJH’s marching band will be marching in both! This group has been working on memorizing their songs and marching in formation for several weeks. If you come, look for our school colors, listen for holiday tunes, and cheer on your school!
