My friends and I love spending the night at each other’s houses, eating food, and staying awake till the sun comes up. Through the years we have come up with a list of activities that we enjoy doing the most, and it’s time to share them with all of you! Here are my favorite creative activities and ideas from the list that you can do with your friends.
Movie Marathon: This is perfect for sleepovers, because you can chill with your friends, eat food, and watch movies. Who doesn’t love that? Before going to their house, call and make sure that everyone has on their comfiest clothes if needed, bring over blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals. When the sleepover begins, pull out all the movies and make sure that everyone agrees on 2-8 movies that they would want to watch. Then pile up pillows and blankets on the couch and put on the first movie. Make popcorn and enjoy! This is a surefire way to have a great time with friends.
Ice Cream Cake: You may be thinking of the cold, ice cream filled cake that you keep in your freezer for birthdays, but I’m talking about something totally different. You can make actual cake out of ice cream! Here are the instructions to make this delicious and warm mug cake.
Mix your favorite flavor of ice cream (melted) with some baking flour and put it in the microwave for one and a half minutes. Then you and your friends can sit down and enjoy!
Glow in the dark Trampoline: If you or your friend has a trampoline, one great idea is the Glow in the dark Trampoline. First, go to a store like Michael’s where glow-sticks are cheap. Get as many as you can (we get around 100) and bring them back to your house. Wait till it is nighttime and open up all the packages of glow-sticks. Then dump them all on the trampoline and jump around! It is a really pretty phenomenon and not to mention, if you accidentally break one, your trampoline will literally be glow in the dark.
Horror Night: If you and your friends aren’t scared super easily, this is a great idea for you. My friends and I like to turn out all the lights, light a candle, pull out a ouija board, and put on a horror film. We spend the night “contacting spirits,” scaring each other, and getting so freaked out that we have to turn the lights back on. Eventually your mind starts to trick you by making you “feel and hear spirits.” This is when my friends and I like to take flashlights and investigate the house. It gives us a great adrenaline rush and provides a fun, yet restless night.
These are just a few of my favorite sleepover activities. There are many, many more that I like though. The best thing to do at a sleepover is to be creative and invent ways to enjoy your time. Have a great sleepover!
