Minimum Day Activities Besides State Street

Minimum Day is the perfect day to get together with friends after school. One of the most popular places to go is State Street. This is due to the many places that you can shop and eat on State. The school administration, however, has asked that we try to find other options then going to State Street. So, here is a list of fun activities besides going to State Street.
The Pier – So yes, this one is technically on State Street, but it is away from the shops and stores that we’re used to. There are lots of things to do on the pier. Not only can you shop at stores like the candy shop and the gift store, but there is a museum. The Ty Warner Sea Center offers lots of stuff to do such as petting sharks and touch tanks. The pier is also a perfect place to take fun and artsy photos on the sand or in the water. All in all, the pier can make for a great day.
The Bell tower – The bell tower is something that a lot of people don’t think about. If you and a couple of friends want to spend a little while just taking photos and talking, then the bell tower is perfect. Lay out a blanket on the grass and enjoy some lunch. There is plenty of grass and greenery to take pictures of so photo shoots are also fun.
A friend’s house – Sure, it is fun to go out on the town and hang out with friends, but in my opinion, one of the best things to do with friends is watch movies in the comfort of your own home. Invite a friend or two over and have fun. Watch movies, eat food, play games.
The Santa Barbara Mission – The missions is yet another place that is perfect for picnics and photos. At the mission, you can also play games like frisbee and handball. If you do gymnastics, the endless grass is perfect for tumbling. I think it is a perfect place to go for some relaxing time with friends.
The Beach – The beach is an obvious choice for teenagers in Santa Barbara. A day at the beach is a great way to spend time with friends. In this hot weather, nothing is better than the cold ocean water. Relax on the sand or play handball with the nets. Go swimming, take pictures, and have fun!
