This years science fair had a variety of amazing projects. The fair was run by Mrs. Garza, and Ross. It took place Monday February 4th, from 4:30pm – 6:30pm, and It was ran in the multi purpose room (cafeteria). Some of the categories included sports, engineering, health, plants, and animals. The science fair was overall a success. I interviewed a fellow student who had attended the science fair, she had very good opinions about the whole event.
Were there any flaws? The only noticeable flaw was it could’ve been more detailed, and have more projects put out.
How would you overall rate the whole experience of being there? I would rate it a 6/10 because not many of the boards caught my attention. It was mostly like looking around at a bunch of words slapped onto a board.
What do you think could be improved for next years science fair? I think they could improve by adding more interesting things, have new project ideas instead of the same “the effect of __ on ___ ,” things that are relevant to the real world, project boards/topics that will catch your eye or make you pay more attention to them.
What was the best part, or your favorite part of the science fair? My favorite part was looking at the variety of projects, and noticing how everyone had done something in their own way, even if it looked “good” or not.
In conclusion the science fair ended up being an okay event, but nonetheless it had amazing projects done with lots of effort.

When we did the 8th grade science fair walk through I was so overwhelmed. I realized that I will have to do this next year. I have no idea and I don’t think any of the 7th graders know what they are going to do. I’m so not looking forward to that. I carpool with an 8th grader and she has been talking about how much work she has on her science fair project each night and boy I “can’t” wait. I saw some really cool ones in the walk through but I can’t copy any of the ones that I saw. They are all so relieved that it’s over. And I’m already excited for when it is over for me and I am still in 7th grade.
